‘Emergence’

Yes! Our ancestors were same..no matter how different our cultures are.. our traditions, belief systems, religions and appearance we have today…we still have same lineage..And when we try to look back with our evolved cultural spectacles, we see them differently.
So just like our brother cultures of the world, Hinduism too has interpretation of its first human couple Manu and Shatrupa.. Manu, as mythology says, an instigator of the humanity or the first human being to appear in the world in each epoch after universal destruction…who freed himself from the bonds of selfishness and showed kindness to other human beings. Shatarupa, the consort of Manu is regarded as the first woman to be created by Brahma..a beautiful divine woman who could acquire hundred different forms.(which i have tried to depict through her tattoos)
Unlike the Biblical and Islamic accounts, there is no mention of the First Couple being thrown out of the Garden-of-Eden and no concept of the original sin in Indian mythology. Instead, Lord Brahma, quite willingly, asks Manu and Shatrupa to establish their dominion on the Planet Earth. And here we are.. their descendants
