‘Ardhnarishvar’

Yet another one from my scriptures series, Ardhnarishvar, a concept very close to my heart and i have been working hard for quite sometime to execute my thoughts.
Ardhnarishvar is a cosmic metaphor for potentiality of both male and female in each human organism, representing Shiva, the mind which is psychological (Purush)and Shakti, the nature which is physical(Prakriti). It signifies totality that lies beyond duality.
Both exist because they depend entirely on each other, as mind is the observer and the nature is observation, he is the substance and she is the substrate, he is being, she is becoming..he is infinite and she renders the infinite into finite, he is formless and she renders the formless into myriad forms….ultimately the fusion of male and female halves transcends the distinction between and limitation of male and female and takes the form to the level of beyond gender manifestation, realization of which means liberation.
